Mr. Spex

The be-all and end-all for optimum vision

The right lighting in an optician’s store is crucial to help customers choose the perfect glasses or contact lenses in the best possible way.

About the "Mr. Spex Store" project

When choosing new glasses, the right lighting is the be-all and end-all. One that does not lead to color distortions when selecting the frame or reflections when testing the new glasses. Unwanted light reflections can be extremely annoying for spectacle wearers, not only in traffic but also when shopping. Glare-reduced lighting that authentically reproduces surface colors and textures is therefore an important requirement for the lighting concept at Mr. Spex.

Reflection-free and clear

Our lighting concept for the Mr. Spex optician’s store works with backlighting of the spectacle walls with additional light shielding. The polarizing product walls give the
Store a light frame. The extremely high indirect light component and poly anti-glare protection virtually eliminate reflections on the lenses.

The excellent color rendering of the STORE LIGHT ONE downlights used, with a color temperature of 3500 K and a CRI value of > 97 (PureWhite), creates a mood that underscores the optical features of the spectacle frames on display.
and invites the customer to buy. The lighting is controlled in certain intensities via a DALI interface depending on the amount of daylight and time of day and is designed for economic and ecological sustainability.
