About the "Borusseum" project

The Borusseum, Borussia Dortmund’s club museum, is a black and yellow home for fans that brings the club’s history, memories and emotions back to life. An extensive renovation took place in 2022 – in terms of content, dramaturgy and staging. Including the latest technology, which invites visitors to immerse themselves in the various themed worlds through a clever combination of visual, auditory and interactive communication points. Light plays a special role here.

Black and yellow contrasts

Lighting contrasts are a central element of the lighting concept. A particular focus during planning was on the targeted use of diffuse light from indirect sources. With a large light expansion factor and directional light, which was realized via accent lights with very good contrast illumination. A particular challenge was adhering to the corporate design with the BVB yellow, which shines in the same way on a black background in any chosen ambient light intensity.
